If you find a Buckeye Northwest Realty rental online, we want you to know how to verify that you're actually dealing with us. Our properties may appear in more than one place, but there are a few things that will stay consistent throughout the rental process. Knowing where to find our rentals and how our process works will help you recognize when something doesn't add up.

Where to Find Us

Buckeyenw.com is the best place to verify a Buckeye Northwest Realty rental. Every rental we currently have available appears on our Rentals page with its current price, property information, and showing details.

Our listings may also appear on third-party rental websites through our listing system. No matter where you first find a property, you can return to our website to verify the current information.

Our Social Media Platforms

We also showcase available rentals across our official social media accounts. Every official Buckeye account links back to buckeyenw.com in its bio or profile. You can use the links below to make sure you’re viewing one of our official accounts:

Facebook & Instagram: Rental listings, property photos, walkthroughs, and other Buckeye updates.
TikTok: Property walkthroughs, rental content, and other short-form videos.
YouTube: Longer property walkthroughs and videos.
X & LinkedIn: Property-related content, company updates, articles, and other Buckeye information.

What Our Showing and Application Process Looks Like

Finding a property you like is only the beginning. Knowing what happens next gives you something concrete to compare with the instructions you’ve received.

Find the Property

Start with our Rentals page to view the properties we currently have available. Each listing includes the property’s rental information and upcoming open-house details when applicable.

Schedule or Attend a Showing

You can RSVP for a showing through our Rentals page or call our office at (419) 385-5555. We also share the full open-house schedule for the following day on our Facebook and Instagram Stories each evening.

A Buckeye showing agent attends every open house and provides access to the property. You won’t need to pick up keys or enter the rental on your own. There is no fee to attend a Buckeye showing or open house.

Submit Your Application

You can complete your application online or on paper. Every person 18 or older who will live in the home must submit an application. There is a $50 non-refundable application fee for each applicant.

You must turn in paper applications at our office. Buckeye showing agents cannot accept paper applications or application fees at a showing or open house. Once you submit an application, it remains valid for 90 days. You can transfer it to another available Buckeye rental during that period.

For more information about application criteria, income requirements, credit and background checks, and other parts of the process, visit our FAQ page.

How Payments Work

How and where you’re asked to send money is worth paying attention to.

Buckeye will not request or collect payments through Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or another social media platform. A Buckeye employee will never ask you to send rental-related payments to their personal payment account.

Cash is only accepted for application fees. Other legitimate payments go through Buckeye’s established payment process rather than an individual employee.

If you have an approved application, you may have the option to reserve a property with a portion of your move-in costs. Buckeye handles that process directly and provides the appropriate paperwork. You will not be asked through social media to send money to reserve a rental.

How You May Hear From Buckeye

Our office may contact you by phone during the rental process. Communication through the systems Buckeye uses may also arrive by text message or email.

Our official social media accounts may respond to questions about a property as well. We use those conversations to provide information and answer questions, not to collect payments or sensitive application information.

Regardless of how a conversation begins, a Buckeye employee will not use a personal social media account or personal payment account to collect application fees, deposits, rent, or sensitive application information.

Things a Buckeye Employee Will Not Ask You to Do

Knowing what we don’t do can be just as useful as knowing what to expect from our normal process.

Pay to Attend a Showing

We do not charge prospective tenants to attend an open house or property showing.

Hand an Application or Payment to a Showing Agent

Our showing agents do not accept paper applications or application fees at the property. Bring paper applications and any applicable in-person application fees directly to our office.

Send Money to an Individual Employee

Buckeye employees will not ask you to send rent, deposits, application fees, or other rental payments to their personal payment accounts.

Send Sensitive Application Information Through Social Media

We will not ask you to send your Social Security number, photos of your ID, pay stubs, or other sensitive application information through social media.

Pay Through Social Media

Buckeye will not request or collect rental-related payments through social media or direct message.

Pick Up Keys for an Open House

A Buckeye showing agent provides access during our open houses. We will not ask you to retrieve keys or let yourself into the property.
