Toledo Pickle Mania
April 25 | 11 AM – 7 PM | Warehouse District, Toledo
2026 marks the first year of this event, bringing together vendors, food, and activities centered around all things pickle.
Old West End Festival (53rd Annual)
June 6–7 | Old West End, Toledo
One of Toledo’s most iconic neighborhood festivals, featuring historic home tours, local vendors, live music, and a strong community feel.
Toledo Jeep Fest (10th Annual)
August 7–9 | Downtown Toledo
One of Toledo’s most well-known summer events, featuring a large parade, live music, and thousands of attendees.
Local Spots for Any Summer Vibe
Maumee Bay State Park
Located right along the edge of Lake Erie, this park has beaches, trails, and great views. It’s an easy spot to spend a few hours, whether you’re going for a walk or just want to get outside.
Metroparks Toledo
With multiple locations across the area, the Metroparks offer walking and biking trails, riverfront views, and frequent summer events. Some of our favorite spots include Wildwood Preserve, Glass City Metropark, and Middlegrounds Metropark.
Toledo Zoo
One of the top-rated zoos in the country, offering summer events, extended hours, and seasonal exhibits. (We’re definitely itching to see Eugene, the zoo’s newest little giraffe.)
Toledo Museum of Art
A well-known local attraction featuring a wide range of exhibits, along with the Glass Pavilion and rotating seasonal displays. Their current exhibit, Cursed! The Power of Magic in the Ancient World is on display through July 5, 2026. We haven’t had the chance to check it out yet, but it’s definitely on our list before it’s gone.
National Museum of the Great Lakes
A unique waterfront museum experience featuring Great Lakes history and interactive exhibits. Their upcoming exhibit, Currents of Change: The Living History of the Great Lakes, opens April 22 and will be on display through October 18.
Toledo Mud Hens
Catching a Mud Hens game is one of the best ways to spend a summer evening in Toledo. With a great downtown atmosphere, themed nights, regular home games, and fairly priced tickets, it’s an easy go-to. (We’re definitely excited for Hens and Hounds, select Tuesdays from May 19th through September 15th, where you can bring your dog.)

Maumee Bay Brewing Company
A go-to downtown spot for house-made beers and good food. A solid option whether you’re starting your night or staying awhile.
Toledo Spirits Company
A local distillery and cocktail bar known for its in-house spirits and creative drinks. The upstairs space, Bellwether, offers a more relaxed, elevated feel, while the Underground downstairs brings a more lively atmosphere with games, drinks, and a casual bar setup.
Toledo Pickle Company
A fun, social spot with outdoor seating, games, and a great atmosphere for groups. One of the best places to spend a few hours without feeling rushed.
The Pale Horse
One of Toledo’s newer spots, offering a horror-themed bar experience. Definitely a fun option if you’re looking for something a little different.
The Docks (Riverfront Dining)
A collection of waterfront restaurants offering great views and outdoor seating during the summer. Spots here include Real Seafood Company, El Vaquero Mexican Restaurant, and Zia’s Italian Restaurant, making it an easy area to explore depending on what you’re in the mood for.
